News: TIC join AWAL – Artists Without A Label

Earlier this month, in December 2018, we submitted our forthcoming double EP to AWAL – a great new model in business for the music industry and for music writers. We are delighted to announce we were accepted onto their data base which means we have now got worldwide digital distribution via iTunes and Spotify for our PRSF funded  double EP, recorded in the summer, titled LANDMASS.

We have also selected a SINGLE called STEM which will be released on February 1st 2019,  featuring Mauritian born, vocal improviser Rouhangeze Baichoo.

Exclusive content in the run up to the release can be found on our Facebook group HERE.

March 8th sees TIC performing in a full evening gig at Club Inégales, Euston. This is part of a vibrant conference on Musical Leadership and Women in Music.
Artistic Director of  TIC  Jenni Roditi will also be presenting at this conference on March 7th as keynote speaker.

Landmass EP Volume 1 will be released on March 8th – to coincide with this concert. Pre-orders available from February 8th.

The recording of the double EP LANDMASS was made at Craxton’s Studios, London over two, half day sessions.

It was engineered by Asier Leatxe Ibanez D’opakoa, assisted by Jay Johnson and Odette Sousa. The approach to the recording was based on a natural mix of all voices standing in a semi circle around one supremely sensitive Blumlein Stereo Pair microphone.

Huge and grateful thanks to Simon McBurney and Cassie Yukawa-McBurney for their deep listening to all the material and then conjuring the title Landmass.
