Calls for improvising vocalists. We are looking for:
- One or two male singers to join the choir.
- group of female and male reserve singers for the choir.
November 8th 19.00 – 20.30 Audition workshop, Crouch End – for male and female vocalists. (this date has been moved forward from 4th Nov)
We have lost one of our key singers in the choir who has returned home to work in the USA. He had a unique role as an experimental vocalist informed by his work as a contemporary classical composer. He was unique and we cannot ‘replace’ him but we are looking for an equally imaginative artist. It may be the artist we book is from a totally different background and culture. We are looking for a singer who will add a unique palette of colours and experience to the ensemble.
A high standard is required. We are looking for imaginative, reliable and technically able singers who can thrive within an ensemble of equals and work with the artistic direction of Jenni Roditi.
TIC singers have a number of rehearsal, concert, leadership, workshop and forum dates in the diary up to February next year at this time.
We are also looking for reserve singers (female and male).
We anticipate there should be some opportunities for reserve singers, including performances, workshops and other forums we are developing which you may be invited to join. All participation (including rehearsals, workshops and forums) is remunerated.
Please send 2 links of your improvised singing or other performance or compositional work, a short form CV, biography and statement of 100 words describing your interest in this project. You will be called for audition on the basis of your submission.
Please note we are launching Club Vocale, a new hub for collective vocal improvisation and collaborations on September 25th. Please come and meet us then if you can!
Club Vocale is supported with funds from Arts Council England. We subscribe fully to equal opportunities for all minority and under represented groups.
